100K Dollar Home Page LIFETIME AD SPACE - ONE TIME FEE - 1,000,000 pixels - 10 cents per pixel

FAQ

In homage to The Million Dollar Home Page, one of the most brilliant ideas to happen on the web, I created the 100K Dollar Home Page. My goal is to generate $100,000 to fund my new web business.

We have got our site off the ground (View Here), but need to raise money for new computer equipment, software, cameras, and video equipment. I would like to turn this venture into a full-blown web design company.

1. What is this about?

The concept is simple, I am trying to raise $100,000 by selling 1,000,000 pixels of advertising space for 10 cents each. The home page consists of a 1000x1000 grid of pixels broke up into 10 x 10 pixel blocks.

2. How do I participate?

You participate by buying pixels on the grid. You must first create and validate your account. You can then fill the available pixels of your chose with an image (i.e. your signature, company logo, your photo etc.), and then link to whatever URL you wish. Your name and URL will also appear in a pop up when someone rolls over your pixels on the webpage.

Pixels must be bought in 10x10 Pixel blocks at the cost of $10 per block. Examples include 100x10, 200x100, 300x300 and so on.

3. Why should I participate?

For starters you will be advertising on a highly publicized, high traffic site. You will have an image and link online forever with the potential to be seen by millions.

4. Who are you?

My name is Rodney Myers and I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I am 42 years old. After spending 20 years working in retail, with the help of my wife and family, I quit my job and started my own business. Things have been rough over the past few years and I recently failed to qualify for a business loan. I have had no luck getting any grants, SBA loans and/or other funding. I feel I have a lot to give in the field of web design and want to raise the funds to do so.

5 How did you come up with the idea?

To put it simple...I didn't. The idea was originally developed by Alex Tew, a college student from England, who designed The Million Dollar Homepage. He raised a million dollars for college in less than a year.
